Child Watch Holiday Happenings

Holiday Drop, Shop & To-Do

Holiday Drop, Shop & To-Do is perfect for families looking for time to wrap up all of the things on their holiday to-do lists like shopping, wrapping gifts, or getting the house ready for the holidays while their children enjoy a supervised, fun-filled day at the Y! We will work on projects, play games, and have all sorts of fun. Please pack a lunch for your child.

Wrap & Chat

Seems like “Santa” can never find enough quiet time to wrap all those presents, not with all those “little elves” running around. We have the perfect solution! Pack the “sleigh” and drop the kids off at the “North Pole” (aka our Child Watch) then wrap things up in our “workshop” with your favorite supply of of “special Santa paper” to share (or, choose from our selection) at one of our Wrap & Chat while enjoying some holiday treats.

Camp Holiday:  Child Watch Mini Camp

So, you made it through the holidays! Now, wouldn’t it be nice to find a bit of time to catch your breath? Camp Holiday offers you a chance to do just that. Children attend on both days! On TUE, DEC 27, children will create a stuffed toy to take home to their favorite furry, four-legged friend, or to donate to a local animal shelter. On THU, DEC 29, children will enjoy a visit from a few furry, four-legged friends from a local traveling petting zoo.

Swim with Santa & Holiday Synchro Show

Join us for a fun holiday themed family swim with Santa himself! Stay after the swim for a performance by our own Lyonfish Synchronettes Synchronized Swimming Team and enjoy some hot chocolate and holiday treats.

All swimmers entering the pool must register. All children under the age of 7 need an adult in the pool to swim within an arms length of them. Children 7 to 10 require a parent on the pool deck.

Free for all, but pre-registration is required.

Safe Sitter (Training) Programs

Safe Sitter:  Safe at Home

Grades:  4-6

This program is a first-start on a path to independence. Participants will learn safe practices, how to handle and emergency, and how to be responsible when home alone.

Safe Sitter:  Babysitting Essentials

Grades:  6-8

In this program participants will learn skills they need to take care of themselves and others, including:  how to communicate with the parents, how to console a crying child, what is appropriate/not appropriate, what to do in the case of an emergency, and much more.
