The Attleboro Norton Y has a thriving community of active older adults who make the Y and physical activity an important part of their healthy lifestyle. Our Y brings members of all ages together for group exercise classes, sports, social events, specialized programming, volunteer opportunities, and so much more.
By coming together as a community, our members stay young at heart with great workouts, wonderful friends, and a lot of laughs!

Chronic Disease Programs
The Attleboro Norton YMCA is thrilled to announce the fall launch of the Y’s Community Alzheimer’s Respite Engagement and Support Program – our CARES program.
The CARES program will provide free, engaging adult care to individuals with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other related dementias, so that their caregivers are able to exercise and use our
YMCA’s facilities while knowing that their loved one is safe. The YMCA has partnered with Back to Home Healthcare Services to provide home health aides to care for the patients.
Attendees, both caregivers and patients, will participate in engaging programming to ensure better social, mental, and physical health. Caregivers will have the opportunity to exercise independently and in group settings while their loved one is engaging in a social group setting, each session.
The CARES program has been made possible by the Attleboro Norton YMCA being awarded a 2023 AARP
Community Challenge grant.

This is definitely not your great-grandfather’s ukulele music! The ukulele is a surprisingly versatile instrument that’s suited to almost any genre, from 1920s “standards” to early rock-n-roll, and from country to contemporary top 40s hits. You never know what we might play next!
The Unlikely Strummers provide family-friendly music that will make you want to sing – or dance – along! No matter what your age, we’ll leave you smiling!

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you are “bathed” in sound waves. The frequencies of the instruments played by the facilitator are beneficial to the wellbeing of each participant. You will be guided into a meditative state-allowing you to fully relax and recharge while taking in the sounds. We are proud to offer this class Free for any Veterans in honor of Veterans Day.
