Scouting Programs

Take your troop on an adventure they’ll never forget! Situated on 80 acres of land, the Norton Outdoor Center offers scouts and opportunity to explore forests, fields, and wetlands, while completing badges, journeys, and adventures. Choose from the programs offered, or request a topic and we can tailor a program to fit your needs. We lead scout programs year-round, seven days a week. Pre-registration is required for all programs and must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

School and Youth Programs

The Norton Outdoor Center provides an engaging group experience for youth and teens that pairs outdoor fun with character development and personal growth. We’ll work with you to develop an itinerary that incorporates group challenges, laugh-inducing icebreakers, thrilling high ropes elements, games, walks in the woods, reflective campfires, and more to allow for personal exploration and a sense of connection among the group.

Corporate Retreats

Team building at Norton Outdoor Center

Our corporate retreats are a great way to add a little adventure to your next workplace event!

The Norton Outdoor Center offers the perfect setting allowing adults to work on cohesion among co-workers. You’ll gain a positive, supportie, and empowering culture within your workplace. While being outdoors and participating in our challenge course (featuring low and high elements) you will gain trust among your colleagues like never before. Leaving our retreats program, you will feel a sense of fulfillment and achievement, ready to face any challenge.

Youth Ropes Course

Ages:  5-10

Students will learn to demonstrate initiative, problem solving, trust while learning aobut themselves and others. They’ll build rapport in our outdoor setting involving high and low elements–soaring (or climbing) to new heights on the Giant Swing, or overcoming obstacles on Voyager’s Crossing platforms. They’ll scale our Rockwall and practice their ability to balance on our Whale Watch.

Archery

Ages:  5-10

Take aim in the YMCA’s archery program. This program will introduce archers to the joy of the sport. Our goal is to equip each participant with the knowledge of range safety, respect of the sport, handling of equipment, and proper shooting technique all in an environment that fosters focus, improved accuracy, increased self-confidence, and team building. Instruction provided by a certified archery instructor.

Adult Camp

Ages:  21+

Who says camp is just for kids? It’s time to experience all the fun your kids have told you about. Enjoy taking aim on our archery course, cooling off in the pool (weather permitting), displaying your skill (or learning new ones) during a round of lawn games, soaring (or climbing) to new heights on our ropes course, and so much more!
