All kids have great potential. At the Y, we want young people to explore their possibilities and think big! That’s why we offer such a diverse array of activities in an encouraging and supportive environment, where kids can explore new interests and passions. Led by positive role models, the Y’s programs encourage young people to develop healthy, trusting relationships and self-reliance through the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Strong Program

Ages: 7-9 and 10-13
This adaptive physical activity class will offer modified instruction and social supports in a non-competitive, encouraging setting. This program focuses on establishing and maintaining healthy habits and an active lifestyle.
With a higher staff-to-participant ratios, this program is able to provide the necessary support that kids need to work on their social skills as well as their athletic skills. Each class begins and ends with an open gym and socialization and stretch time. Participants will play games, learn and take part in different sports activities, and get cardiovascular exercise. The activities provided each week will help children build these skills while having fun as a team. All abilities are welcome!
