Family time at the Y is about giving families as a unit, and as individuals, the opportunities to deepen relationships, develop new skills and interests, improve their health and well-being, and connect to the community.

Swim with Santa & Festive Family Flick

Join us for a fun holiday-themed family night at the YMCA

Join us for Swim with Santa from 5:00-6:00 PM! Afterward, stick around for our holiday open house and family movie night at the Downtown Branch from 6:30-7:30 PM. Enjoy a festive movie, pizza for the family, hot cocoa, and a candy cane!

ALL swimmers entering the pool MUST register. ALL children under the age of 7 need an adult in the pool to swim within an arm’s length of them. Adult and child both register. Children 7 to 10 require a parent on the pool deck.

Kids Night Out!

Give yourself the night off and treat your child to a supervised night of fun!

Ages: 3 (potty trained) to 12

Our dinner menu is make-your-own english muffin pizzas, applesauce, and juice. Feel free to pack a (nut-free) dinner if you prefer that instead.

Bounce & Play

Each month, children and their families are invited to exercise their bodies and minds with time in our bounce house and themed imaginative play scenarios. Adults do not need to register, just children.

Ages:  All ages, accompanied by a parent or guardian

Family Swim

Family Swim is the perfect opportunity for families to be active and have fun together! While playing with family in the pool, children also gain swimming strength and learn about water safety.

Family Swim is free for Attleboro Norton YMCA Members. Non-Members must purchase a Day Pass ($18 per family or $12 per adult or $6 per youth) to attend family swim.

Family Swim Policies

  1. Parents are responsible for actively supervising their children at all times.
  2. All swimmers 11 & under must take a swim test.
  3. Children under 12 must be accompanied in the pool area or in the water by an adult. Any child under 9 who does not pass the swim
    test must be accompanied by an adult in the water & stay within arm’s reach in the shallow end.
  4. Instructional Equipment, including starting blocks, may not be used during Family Swim. Toys & noodles may be used at the lifeguard’s discretion depending on the number of patrons.
  5. Only YMCA bubbles and Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed. No inflatable devices, such as water wings, inner tubes, rafts, etc.

Birthday Parties

Let us host your next birthday party at our Downtown YMCA!

Venue Hours of Operation

Birthday Parties are offered at or Downtown locations on:

  • Saturdays at 12:00-1:30pm or 3:00-4:30pm
  • Sundays at 12:00-1:30pm

All parties are one-and-a-half (1.5) hours, including a one-hour (1 hr.) activity and one half-hour (1/2 hr.) in our party room.

** Disclaimer – Pool Parties have priority in the pool, but do not have private pool time. This means that family swim is still accessible to the public during your reserved birthday time.

Rental Fees/Deposit

$250 Y Member / $375 Non-Members ($100 nonrefundable deposit due at registration to reserve your party.) Please note that the above fees include up to 20 children. To add additional guests of up to 30 children, there will be a $70 fee, this must be done at the time of party booking.

The fee includes a party coordinator to help in the party room.

Food and Beverages

The Y does not offer any food or beverage before, during, or after the event. This, along with any dining ware needed during the event is the sole responsibility of the renter.

Damage and Liability Policy

Client shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Attleboro Norton YMCA, its employees from and against any and all claims, suits, actions, or liabilities for injury or death of any person, or for loss or damage to property, which arises out of Clients use of Premises.

Decorations, Displays, Entertainment and Audio/Visual

All displays and decorations are subject to approval by the Birthday Party Coordinator. Items and tools used for decorations must be brought in by the client. Chairs and tables are NOT to be used as a tool for decorations. Nothing may be tacked, pinned, (please use blue painters’ tape to hang) stapled, etc. to anything for any reason. Any type of confetti, glitter, or table scatter is not allowed. Music that aligns with the Y’s values (no profanity, etc.) is allowed within the party room as long as it does not interrupt another event occurring within the Y.
Decorating and setting up for your event will begin 30 minutes prior to the start time of your reservation.

Party Types

Pool Party: (all ages)

Celebrate your next birthday with a great time playing pool games and splashing around with friends! Depending on age and swim ability, adults may need to be in the water with kids.
Where: Downtown, Balfour Pool
**All children under the age of 7 must be accompanied in the water by an adult.

Sports Party: (Ages 3 and up)

Get into the game! Bring your friends to the Y’s gymnasium to play one of your favorite sports. Choose from basketball or soccer.
Where: Downtown, Augat Gymnasium

Open Play Party: (all ages)

Run, jump, and shake those sillies out! Bring your friends to the Y’s gymnasium for some unstructured play time! We can provide you with mats, balls, and even some ride on toys. Your imagination is the limit on how to use so much open space!! The bounce house is a great addition to this party.
Where: Downtown, Augat Gymnasium

Party Add-ons:

  • 30 extra minutes (to extend party time to 2 hours) – $25
  • 10 extra children (totaling 30) – $70
  • Bounce house rental – $100
