Child Watch

Did you know the Attleboro Norton YMCA Downtown Branch offers a free benefit to Attleboro Norton Y (Family and Single-Parent Family) Members?

Our Child Watch program provides a safe and supportive environment for children, ages 2 months to 12 years old, to build healthy, trusting relationships with other children and adults. Meanwhile, parent family members are able to reset, recharge, and connect with all the Y has to offer! Whether it’s your first time dropping off, or your 30th, we are here to support you and to help your child transition int our Child Watch room — a large, bright open play space conveniently located on our second floor (with elevator access). We want everyone to be successful!

Here are a few helpful hints:

  • Please check in each member (you and your child) every time you visit the Y
  • Children can bring a snack and drink (please refrain from peanuts, green beans and tree nuts)
  • No toys from home — we have plenty in our Child Watch room
  • If your child is feeling unwell or is unable to go to school due to illness, please keep them home.
  • Child Watch is only free to Family or Single-Parent Family members of the Attleboro Norton YMCA.
  • Non-Members, youth members, and members of other YMCAs may attend with a $5 fee.

Kids Night Out!

Give yourself the night off and treat your child to a supervised night of fun!

Ages: 3 (potty trained) to 12

Upcoming Kids Night Outs:

Friday, April 26  5:30 – 8:00 PM

Friday, May 31  5:30 – 8:00 PM

5:30 – 6:30 – Bounce house and play in Augat gym
6:30 – 7:00 – Dinner in the cafe
7:00 – 8:00 – Free play in Child Watch classroom

Our dinner menu is make-your-own english muffin pizzas, applesauce, and juice. Feel free to pack a (nut-free) dinner if you prefer that instead.

Please inform staff if there are any food allergies at drop off.

Bounce & Play

Each month, children and their families are invited to exercise their bodies and minds with time in our bounce house and themed imaginative play scenarios. Adults do not need to register, just children.

Ages:  All ages, accompanied by a parent or guardian

02/29 – We’re Going on a Bear Hunt 🐻

For February, we’re going on a bear hunt! We’ll reenact the classic bear hunt story with an obstacle course that will test your gross motor skills and don’t forget a bounce in our bounce house!

03/28 – To The Moon🌙

For March, we’re taking off! Help us gear up for the solar eclipse on April 8th by joining our astronaut training camp and don’t forget a bounce in our bounce house!

04/25 – Take Me Out to the Ball Game ⚾

For April, come play ball and don’t forget a bounce in our bounce house!

05/30 – Ready, Set, Go!🏃‍♂️

For May, race on over if you’re feeling a need for speed! Come do a few laps on our YMCA racetrack and don’t forget a bounce in our bounce house!

06/27 – Let’s Go Camping⛺️

For June, we’re bringing the great outdoors into our gym! Come play at our indoor campsite complete with tent and bonfire and don’t forget a bounce in our bounce house!
