All kids have great potential. At the Y, we want young people to explore their possibilities and think big! That’s why we offer such a diverse array of activities in an encouraging and supportive environment, where kids can explore new interests and passions. Led by positive role models, the Y’s programs encourage young people to develop healthy, trusting relationships and self-reliance through the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Mission Possible

Ages: 10-12

Head outdoors this spring for a high-flying adventure where anything is possible! Each Saturday, you’ll work as a team to tackle new challenges and scale new heights on the Y’s Challenge Course at the Norton Outdoor Center. This program encourages kids to get out of their comfort zones, try new things, and discover what they’re capable of achieving. Socialize and Swim

Ages: 6-14

We invite individuals with special needs and peers that are typically developing to join us. Our program will consist of a 45-minute activity to enhance and maintain social skills and will then involve a 45-minute opportunity to swim. Individuals should come in their bathing suits and parents should plan to change them after the class finishes. Please contact Steve Beane at sbeane@attleboroymca.org if you have a child who may benefit from this program or if you have a typically developing child that would be interested in volunteering.

Time: Tues 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Introduction to Rock Performance

Ages: 10-18

Through a new collaboration with The School of Rock, the Y is excited to offer an intro course to rock and roll. In this class, you will learn basic chords and develop an understanding for how to play instruments. The program’s goal is for the group to collaborate to be able to perform a song together.
