Looking for a fun way to refocus on your own health and wellness this spring? Join your YMCA community in the Reset Challenge!

Each week, our Health & Wellness staff will send out via email and post three challenges for the week:

  1. Refuel Challenge: One of the weekly tasks will focus on nutrition.
  2. Reactivate Challenge: This task will inspire you to get moving – whether at home or at the Y!
  3. Re-Engage Challenge: This task will encourage you to reconnect with the YMCA community in new fun ways!

The tasks and challenges will change each week!

What’s the reward?

Aside from feeling great, the Y plans to reward our members for sticking with the challenges!

Every time you accomplish one of our challenge goals, you’ll earn another entry in our raffle for three free months of membership at the Y! You’ll earn another entry into the raffle every time you do one of the following:

  • Complete all three challenges in a week
  • Post a photo on social media when you’ve completed a challenge and tag us at @attleboroymca with #resetchallenge
  • Refer a new member to the Y.

Plus, the Y will have a victory prize waiting for every member who completes all of the weekly challenges!


Week 4 Challenges

April 6-12

  1. REFUEL: Track your meals for just one day. Use an app or jot it down on a piece of paper. See what you learn about your nutritional habits.
  2. REACTIVATE: Get your steps in! It’s a beautiful week to get out and move. We challenge you to get at least 10,000 steps three days this week!
  3. RE-ENGAGE: Give a shoutout to a Y member or staff person who makes your day better! Tell us why at the desk, on social media, or in this week’s Victory Form!

At the end of the week, once you’ve completed the week’s three challenges, drop your Reset Victory Card in the drop box at the Y or you can fill out our Reset Victory Form online.


Week 3 Challenges

March 30-April 5

  1. REFUEL: Eat your veggies! In a video demo, Chef Matt Haist offers a great tutorial about some great ways to prep your veggies in healthy, tasty ways. Check out the video here.
  2. REACTIVATE:Join our Health & Wellness Director Ryan Ohnemus for a fun way to stay active: The Deck of Cards Workout. Get all the details here.
  3. RE-ENGAGE:Try something new at the Y! You choose – a new class, a new area, a new workout. It’s up to you!

At the end of the week, once you’ve completed the week’s three challenges, drop your Reset Victory Card in the drop box at the Y or you can fill out our Reset Victory Form online.


Week 2 Challenges

March 23-29

  1. REFUEL: Focus on hydration this week! Drink half your body weight in ounces of water. (If you weigh 150 pounds, aim for 75 ounces of water in a day.)
  2. REACTIVATE: Go for a one-mile walk outdoors with a friend or family member.
  3. RE-ENGAGE: Bring a friend with you to the Y this week! Encourage them to join you for a workout and they’ll be our guest for the day.

At the end of the week, once you’ve completed the week’s three challenges, drop your Reset Victory Card in the drop box at the Y or you can fill out our Reset Victory Form online.


Week 1 Challenges

March 16-22

  1. REFUEL: Fire up your blender and give our nutritionist Ashley’s Healthy Smoothie Recipe a try! It’s super easy, tasty, and packed with nutrients to fuel you up for the day!
  2. REACTIVATE: Find some new motivation with one of the Y’s Group Exercise classes. It doesn’t matter if it’s at the Y or at home via Zoom. Pick your class, get moving, and feel great!
  3. RE-ENGAGE: Take a photo or selfie in your favorite Y place or with your favorite Y friend or staff member! You’ll earn a bonus point for the week if you post your photo!

At the end of the week, once you’ve completed the week’s three challenges, drop your Reset Victory Card in the drop box at the Y or you can fill out our Reset Victory Form online.
