Your time makes a difference! The Y is currently looking for adult volunteers to serve as mentors in our Reach & Rise Group Mentoring Program. By serving as a mentor, you can help a lasting, positive impact on kids in our community.

The Reach & Rise Group Mentoring Program supports youth in grades 5-8 who may often experience social issues, poverty, community violence, or educational disparities. As a group mentor, you can build a supportive, consistent relationship with a group of young people. You will help to improve each mentee’s self-esteem, confidence, sense of belonging, decision-making skills, school performance and relationships. With the support of Y staff, two Reach & Rise Mentors work together with a group of six mentees over the course of 16 weeks.

Mentors must be 21 or older.  Please contact Brian Gannon at or (508) 409-0734 for more information. To apply to be a mentor, please fill out our Volunteer Mentor Application.
