71% of the World is Water. Children Are 100% Curious.

The YMCA’s Safety Around Water program can help kids learn essential water safety skills.

WHAT IS SAFETY AROUND WATER?

Open to the entire community, this free 6-8 session course, taught by a certified instructor, can reduce the risk of drowning and give kids the confidence in and around water. A typical session includes:

  • Exercises to help children adjust to being in water
  • Instruction in “Jump, Push, Turn, Grab” and “Swim, Float, Swim”
  • A fun game to encourage comfort and activity around water

Thanks to a grant from Y of the USA as well as donations made to the Attleboro Y’s Annual Campaign, we’re able to offer the program at no cost! For more information, please contact Susan Mastandrea at smastandrea@attleboroymca.org or 508-409-0765.
